What's your favorite colony ? : r/victoria3
R5: Mine is definitely Vietnam (well a some what thicker version of Vietnam), the amount of resources and pops in there just makes it so i generally never have to bother with any other colonies, plus the borders kinda looks cool (very European take on colonial borders ^^). Frankiep923. • 2 yr. ago. Borneo has gold, rubber and oil. Chataboutgames.
Best Parts of Africa to Colonize : r/victoria3
Places like Dahomey, Oyo, and Benin are all easy places to target without a lot of competition early. Benin is great for some mineral resources and Dahomey and Oyo can feed agriculture back. What is your opinion on colonization? : r/victoria3
But I think colonies should have a bigger trade-off. They should have a bigger impact on your economy when you start off a colony. It shouldn't be as easy as just pressing 3 buttons. Developing a colony shouldn't cost the same as developing a province in your homeland. The amount of money you have to pour into them should be bigger.

What are the best colonies that you go after? Is there a life rating
3 take tanzania and ride it down to namibia (strategic benefit and even more pops) you will notice that this is very similar to the british colonization system. I use this and do not go farther, because taking all of africa just isnt fun.
Ideal colonisation targets for Prussia/Germany? :: Victoria 3 General
Sindh might be a better first target as its got more population, but its also a bigger chunk of infamy and more likely to get the UK or the Raj involved. Vietnam or taking chunks out of China could also be viable options. #4. Cladeuh Nov 12, 2022 @ 12:00pm.
What to do with colonies, cultures and territories : r/victoria3
But I have a few questions, all of them relationated with colonies…. When I make a colony, I was expecting than I can exploit that territory… but no.
